Step 1: Create Your ImmiAccount

Go to immi.homeaffairs.gov.au and create an ImmiAccount. This is where you will submit and track your application. Use your personal email — not your university email.

Step 2: Get Your CoE

A Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from an Australian university is mandatory before you can apply. Your university emails this after you pay the acceptance fee (usually first-semester tuition).

Step 3: Gather Documents

Core documents: valid passport, CoE, proof of English (IELTS/PTE), financial evidence (bank statements, FD certificates, sponsor letters), Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), and GTE statement.

Step 4: Health Examination

Book a medical exam through an authorised panel physician via HAP (Health Appointments Portal) at health.homeaffairs.gov.au. In Nepal, B&B Hospital (Lalitpur) and Grande International Hospital are panel physicians.

Step 5: Submit Online

Application fee as of 2025: AUD 1,600 (approx. NPR 136,000). Processing typically takes 4–8 weeks for straightforward applications.

Checking Your Status

Log in to ImmiAccount regularly. "Received" → "Further assessment" → "Finalised". If you see a "Bridging Visa A" granted, your substantive visa is still being processed — this is normal.
